PostNord Simple ConnectSupport

Privacy policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy describes what PostNord Simple Connect (the "app") collects when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store, how it is used, and the choices merchants and their customers have. The app is operated by Zodiapps, info@zodiapps.com.

What the app collects

When a merchant installs the app, it receives from Shopify the store's name, contact email, address and phone, and an access token that lets it read and fulfill orders. To make a shipping label, the app reads the order: the items, their weight and price, and the recipient's name, address, phone number and email. For customs declarations on shipments outside the EU it also reads product details such as customs tariff codes and country of origin.

The app also stores the merchant's PostNord customer number and sender address, the shipping map and the merchant's settings.

How it is used

Order and recipient data is used to book the shipment with PostNord and to print the label; it is sent to PostNord for that purpose only. Shipment records (order number, recipient name and address, service, tracking number, label file) are kept so the merchant can see and reprint past labels and so delivery status can be shown. When the merchant offers PostNord rates at checkout, Shopify sends the cart contents and the destination address to the app to quote a price; those requests are not stored.

Payment for the app is handled by Shopify. The app does not see card details.

Where it is kept

Data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) in the European Union, in the Frankfurt region. Label files are kept for 48 days and then deleted. Shipment records are kept for as long as the app is installed.

Sharing

Recipient and parcel data is shared with PostNord to book shipments and with Shopify to fulfill orders. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else. Error reports that help us keep the app working may contain an order number, never the recipient's details.

Uninstalling and deletion

When the app is uninstalled, Shopify notifies us and all data of the store is deleted 48 hours later, including shipment records and label files. Merchants can ask for earlier deletion at the address below. Requests from customers to access or erase their personal data, sent through Shopify, are honoured: the app anonymises the customer's shipment records and deletes their label files.

Your rights

Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data the app holds, and to object to its processing. Customers of a store should contact the store, which can ask us; merchants can write to us directly.
